Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud killed in drone attack

 

Leader of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in a US drone attack at Danday Darpakhel village in North Waziristan tribal region on Friday evening. Taliban and intelligence sources, confirmed the death of the Hakimullah Mehsud in the drone strike. Five more have been also killed in that drone attack. Sources said that four missiles have fired by two drone attacks on a house and a jeep in Danday Darpakhel village, near North Waziristan’s headquarters Miranshah. The TTP officially not confirmed the death of Hakimullah Mehsud. The villagers said a large number of militants arrived in the village soon after the drone attack and surrounded the area. Senior commanders of the TTP Abdullah Bahar Mehsud, deputy to Hakimullah Mehsud, and Tariq Mehsud were also killed in the attack. Abdullah Bahar Mehsud had replaced Latif Mehsud and was appointed as deputy and adviser to the TTP chief. Latif Mehsud was arrested last month by the US forces in Afghanistan and reportedly detained in the Bagram airbase..
