Sri lanka beat Pakistan in 2nd ODI

 

Sri Lanka win the 2nd ODI by 2 wickets at Dubai Cricket Stadium and level 1-1 in the five match series against Pakistan. Pakistan have scored 284 as Sri Lanka won the toss and chose the field first. Pakistan lost first wicket of sharjeel khan L.B.W. on the score of eight. Ahmad Shahzad and Hafeez made a partnership of 77. Hafeez was run-out at 32 while Ahmad Shahzad made his career's 4th century. Ahmad Shahzad's career-best 124 and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq's 59 helped Pakistan for a total of 284-4. Man of the match Skipper Angelo Mathews kept his calm to score 47 runs off 44 balls to lead Sri Lanka's victory over Pakistan in the second ODI, levelling the five-match series at 1-1. Perera and Dilshan gave the Sri Lankans a solid start with a good opening partnership of 49. Middle order batsmen kept up the work and a solid 94 run partnership between Chandimal and Sangakara brought lankan team closer to victory. Junaid Khan who eventually finished with 3-52, brought Pakistan back into the game while Afridi two for 46. Senanayake hit the winning runs on the brink of victory in the last over..
