Peshawar Church blasts, 81 died, more than 140 injured

 

At least 81 were killed while more than 140 injured in the bomb blasts outside a church near Qissa Khawani bazaar of Peshawar. Two suicide blasts reported inside the “Pakistan Church” when Christian minority people were coming out after Sunday prayer service. 500 to 600 people were inside the church when it targeted by militants. Some eye witnesses said that suicide bomber were came in police uniforms. The police roped-off the area after Pakistan’s deadliest attack on the Christian community. Rescue teams reached at the scene and shifted dead and injured to different hospitals of the city including Lady Reading Hospital. Emergency decleared in all hospitals of the city. According to sources, women and children also included among the the injured and killed, while condition of many injured reported critical which can increases in death toll, hospital sources said. Blasts damaged 130 years old historical building of Church and nearby buildings. Christian protesters took on roads and protested against the blasts throughout the country. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the "cruel" attack, saying it violated the tenets of Islam. Pope Francis also spoke out against the violence, calling it "a bad choice of hatred and war"..
