Obama condemns 'brutal and outrageous' murders of Muslim students

 

US President Obama on Friday condemned the “brutal and outrageous” execution-style killings of three young Muslim students in North Carolina at the hands of a neighbor who believed to be opposed to religion. President Obama has made his first comments regarding the three Muslims Students who were shot to death in North Carolina — saying no one in America should ever be targeted “because of who they are, what they look like or how they worship.” Police say they are investigating what may have been a parking dispute gone wrong, but have not ruled out a hate-based crime. Parents of the victims however say they are convinced they were targeted because of their religion. Obama has faced criticism for not responding quickly enough to the deaths of the three students – Newly Wed Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23; his wife Yusor Mohammad, 21; and her Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has criticized Obama and other senior officials for not speaking out against the murders of the three young Muslims..
