Mothers of Srebrenica victims condemn pope's 'genocide' comments

Pope Francis's statements on the Armenian 'genocide' have been condemned by the Mothers of Srebrenica.
The group, which represents the mothers of around 8,000 Muslim men and boys massacred by Serbian military in July 1995, criticized the pontiff's description of the massacres of the Bosnian wars of the 1990s as "mass killings" while labeling the deaths of Ottoman Armenians in 1915 as 'genocide.'
Researcher Cevdet Kırpık from Erciyes University Turkey has revealed Ottoman Armenians wore the clothing of Kurdish, Circassian and Turkish peoples in Anatolia and raided their own villages, killing their own people for the sake of winning independence in 1915 from the crumbling Ottoman Empire.
US President also avoids and not referring 1915’s death of Armenians as genocide.
In an interview with The Anadolu Agency, Mothers of Srebrenica Vice President Kata Hotic highlighted a February 2007 ruling by the International Court of Justice that said that the Srebrenica massacre of Bosnian Muslim amounted to genocide.
"I am not an expert or a historian," she said. "I am a genocide witness. There is a court decision regarding what happened in Srebrenica and to call what happened to the Armenians genocide, there should be a court decision."
On April 12, Pope Francis became the first head of the Roman Catholic Church to publicly referred the killing of Armenians “the first genocide of the 20th century†in the Ottoman empire, angering Turkey, which has never accepted that the loss of life amounted to genocide, and leading to Ankara recalling its ambassador to the Vatican.
The pope said the crimes of the Nazis and the Soviet Union under Stalin were the other genocides of the century while describing massacres in Cambodia, Rwanda, Burundi, and Bosnia as 'other mass killings.'
Pope Francis’s views stir up debate in Turkey as well as Muslim world. Why killing of Christian Armenian is genocide and killing of Rohngya Muslims in Myanmar, killing of half population of Cham Muslims in Cambodia, killing of half of population of Libya by Italy under its rule, War crimes and massacre of Palestinian by Israel termed as “Killingâ€
The pope made no reference to the millions who lost their lives in China under Mao Zedong.
Hatice Mehmedovic, President Mothers of Srebrenica, who lost two sons at Srebrenica, called on the pope to "learn the facts."
More than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed by Serbian irregular troops in the UN refugees camp in eastern Bosnian town, despite the presence of Dutch UN peacekeeping soldiers.
