‘Social networks must help counter Islamophobia, anti-Semitism’: British LP

 

Recently, there has been a rise in the number of event of Islamophobia, racism and anti-semitism in Europe and America. Ed Miliband Leader of UK’s Labour Party has spoken out about rising levels of intolerance in the wake of terror attacks in Paris and Copenhagen. The Labour leader said there are "real fears" among Jewish families, among Muslim families, among people of all backgrounds about the rising intolerance and called for social media giants to join in the fight against anti-semitism and Islamophobia online. Ed Miliband advised European countries to increase cooperation between intelligence services as he said, "I think that the freedom of social media is incredibly important but we have to look at the ways we can counter this stuff online." "Europe's leaders have got to show a unity of purpose in tackling these issues,” He said..
