Greek engineer designed SIM card specially for Muslims

An electrical engineer Yiannis Hatzopoulos from Greece has created a unique mobile SIM card targeting Muslims. This SIM card includes applications such as, compass used to track the direction of Kaa’bah, accurate timing of Muslim prayers, automatic ban on incoming calls during prayer time, access to Islamic calendar and many more. These special features available in the SIM application toolkit can be activated and deactivated on demand. This SIM can be used on both Smartphones and as well as normal mobile devices. Despite similar SIM cards being invented before by companies like LG, the fact that this one can also be installed in the most basic and inexpensive devices is set to make it a big competitor in the African and Asian markets. Hatzopoulos’ SIM card will be exhibited in the African fair, held in Cape Town, South Africa. Bluefish technologies will be promoting this SIM card in the Asian markets..
