Gaza al-Aqsa hospital hit in fatal Israeli attack

Staff at the al-Aqsa martyr’s hospital is in state of shock that a medical facility was targeted by the Israelis, giving to Fikr Shall toot, director of programmers at Medical Aid for Palestinians in Gaza City. Speaking to the Caretaker after talking to her nephew who works at the hospital, Shall toot said: “People can’t believe this is happening – that a medical hospital was shelled without the passing warning. It was already full with patients.” She added: Five people, I gather were killed, and 15 were injured, including medical staff. I know the staff very well. My nephew is a medical doctor there. It is very difficult to believe it, but it is really happening in Gaza. My nephew doesn’t know what’s going on and can’t understand why they are hitting a hospital. It is not realistic that they can do any military activity in this hospital. But Shall toot said the attack seemed to be careful. If it was one (shell) people would think it was a mistake. But if they are targeting it by more than one tank shell this is not a mistake. It is very strange that they are hitting a hospital without a previous warning. It is very strange that they are hitting a hospital which is known to be small and it’s the only one in that area..
