Allama Nasir Abbas Multani killed in Lahore


Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leader Allama Nasir Abbas Multani was shot dead by unknown assailants near the Ferozpur Road underpass in the Muslim Town police precincts. His driver Munawar and Allama’s companion Najamul Hassan remained unhurt. Allama Nasir Abbas was rushed to Sheikh Zayed Hospital by his driver in the same car but he was pronounced dead by doctors. The CCPO Lahore said that it was target killing. However, no case was registered till the filing of the report. Allama Nasir reached in Shadman to deliver a speech at Qaumi Markaz Khwajgan. He left for home in his white Corolla car number YD -133. When they crossed Ferozpur Road underpass, two men on a bike intercepted the car from front side and started firing on Allama Nasir Abbas. Driver and one other man in the car were unhurt while the vehicle's front side was damaged by the firing. Allama Nasir Abbas Multani had received bullet injuries on his head, face and neck and he was died on the spot. Soon after the incident, police officials reached the scene and in hospital, collected evidence from the spot and car, respectively. Investigation team also recorded statements of eyewitnesses..
