40 killed, 20 injured in Balochistan road  accident

 

At least 40 people have been killed and 20 others injured in a collision between two trucks and two buses at Gaddani Mor near industrial town of Hub on RCD highway Balochistan, on Saturday morning. Police said that two passenger coaches were on way to Karachi when they collided with a truck coming from opposite side, resulting in death of more than 35 passengers and inuring of 20 others on the spot. The buses and the trucks caught fire after the collision as the petrol-filled drums were loaded on the roofs of the buses, the police said. The rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to Jam Abdul Qadir hospital in Hub. Later, some of the injured were referred to Karachi due to their serious condition. According to doctors, the injured received serious burn wounds while some dead were beyond recognition as those were burnt down completely. The official sources confirmed that Iranian smuggled petrol was loaded on passenger buses that were being taken to Karachi for sale at mini petrol pumps. Balochistan Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has taken notice of the situation and ordered inquiry into the incident with immediate effect..
